Hello and welcome! I’m Lidia Chaplin, the family and wedding photographer behind Chaplin Studio. This studio is more than just a business—it’s the natural result of a lifelong journey filled with passion, creativity, and a deep appreciation for life’s fleeting moments. Each step has helped shape my approach to storytelling, allowing me to capture your most cherished memories with honesty and beauty.
From Storyteller to Visual Artist, Expanding Horizons
My career started in the fast-paced world of journalism. For years, I told engaging stories, especially those inspired by my travels. To bring those stories to life for magazines, I learned photography. What began as a helpful skill quickly turned into a deep passion that transformed my career.
Everything changed when my son was born. My world became full of energy, curiosity, and the magic of childhood. I constantly reached for my camera, capturing school events, football matches, and expressive portraits of young athletes. This dedication led me to become the official photographer for junior football clubs — a role I love. It allows me to preserve the vibrant, joyful moments of growing up.
As Chaplin Studio evolved, so did my creative focus. I’m thrilled to offer wedding photography — a natural extension of our storytelling. Now we capture even more beautiful chapters, from the beginnings of family life to the powerful connection between two people in love.
A Unique Blend of Artistry & Precision for Every Chapter
My background includes more than journalism and sports photography. I also hold a First-Class Honours degree in Fine Art from Leeds Beckett University. This formal training shapes every image I create. It brings an artist’s eye to all aspects of our work, especially in fine art photography.
